Meet Eva McLaurin, NBC-HWC

A resilient Latina from Bronx, NY, is a Wellness Leader, National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, professional Chef, and the SHE-E-O behind She Wellthy. With a multifaceted career spanning over 20 years, Eva has worn many hats; to include—financial advisor, sales director, speaker, and wellness influencer. Living in Japan and traveling to countries like Mexico, Malaysia, Cuba, and Thailand broadened her global perspective on wellness and nutrition.  Her journey is fueled by a passion for wellbeing, travel, food, and cultural exploration.

Eva's entrepreneurial spirit ignited at the age of eight, driven by a need to prove her self-worth and belong. Growing up in the Bronx, she experienced a cocktail of hypervigilance, mistrust, and scarcity. This environment shaped her hustle and grind mentality, a mixture that later required significant effort to detox.

As a Private Chef in 2015, due to her culinary skills, she was featured in top-tier publications like the HuffPost and Arlington Magazine and collaborating with brands like Williams-Sonoma. Eva cooked in million-dollar homes, witnessing firsthand the hidden struggles behind closed doors of "successful" women.

She realized that true success should not come at the expense of well-being. Her clients, including executive women, CEOs, board directors, entrepreneurs, and government officials, often grappled with stress, burnout, and dissatisfaction despite their professional achievements. This observation led Eva to have a realization and started to question societal expectations placed on women.

Eva pursued studies in Culinary Medicine to deepen her insights into the healing role of food in promoting health and well-being.  During the COVID pandemic in 2020, Eva served as a Culinary Operations Manager for Florida's largest healthcare system, granting her access to vital, non-public information. The knowledge gained further strengthened her multidisciplined view on how your wellbeing can impact your quality of life as we age.

For over seven years she has been coaching established powerhouse women in various fields, guiding them towards living their best lives with a wellness longevity approach. Society often conditions women to be superwomen, prioritizing everyone else's needs while neglecting their own. From a young age, women are taught to cook, clean, and be selfless, which can hinder their ability to assert themselves authentically. Eva's mission is to challenge these norms and empower women to prioritize their physical, mental, and emotional health.

Embrace your life today with a renewed foundation for wellness and longevity!

In Good Health,

Eva McLaurin
